Global Mission

Called to be witnesses of Christ’s Kingdom to the ends of the earth, we support local ministries in Toronto and around the world

  1. John and Anne Span are doing a PhD and teaching English as a Second Language while in Canada before returning to their adopted home in Egypt. They work through global missions at  and
  2. Benjamin Osei shares an office with us as he and several others work with Youth Unlimited GTA (greater Toronto area). Benjamin is so well known in the community of Finch Avenue and Jane Street that he rarely walks anywhere without someone recognising him.
  3. Ruth Hofman and Steve Venhuizen are pastors of Friendship Church, privileged to work with a team of vibrant and committed students at York University, which brings the nations to our doorstep from 176 countries

Mercy and Justice
  • Hearing the cries of the oppressed, forsaken and disadvantaged, we seek to act justly and love mercy as we walk humbly with our God.
  • Refugee Resettlement is welcoming one family who leaves everything behind in Syria and arrives with realistic hopes in Canada
  • Race Relations conversations are held with our partner ministry at York University—some planned but mostly as life happens
  • Monies are donated for Emergency Relief in and around our church and for World Renew projects around the globe
  • We do our small part toward Creation Care by recycling, reducing and reusing at our facility, which is barrier-free and made available to other churches and community groups
